Something Old

Uluru is heading our list as this ancient land really does need our kiwi support. With tourism drying up over the last two years, this already isolated event location has had the brunt of the fight as its internal state neighbours also had travel bans. We think now is a great time to get to the Red Centre and witness its extraordinary landscape, desert plains, weathered mountain ranges, rocky gorges, and the local traditions. With the best season to visit being September – October, this gives plenty of planning time and preparation for this once-in-a-lifetime destination.
Our top pick will always be staying onsite voyages as it has everything onsite you might need, with facilities to cater for the 5-star and 4-star traveller, event space for those conference sessions and fantastic activities. It is all here in one prime spot – a bucket-list destination, great accommodation, easy planning and all at an excellent rate.

Something New
I can guarantee that most event travellers have exhausted what is on offer in the usual city destinations like Sydney and Melbourne. We recommend (on this blog) exploring the lesser known, more than the well-known major cities.
For something NEW we wanted to take you a bit further west, to Perth!
This isolated west coast metropolis has fantastic hotels, a stunning wine region, great activities for mid to large groups, and fab event locations that are stand out to its west coast adversaries. To top it off, they have a bustling culinary culture.
We recommend having a Gala Event at a Colonial Prison block, cruising the river, sailing the harbour, and catching your own shell food. Perth is on par with events that can be done on the east coast and has come through Covid unscathed.

Something Blue
For something Blue, we could have suggested Whitsundays or Byron Bay. We could take you to Port Douglas or Cairns, but none of these locations is as accessible as Surfers Paradise! This lagoon city, with its iconic coastline, is our pick for ‘Blue’.
Why Surfers? Well, to be honest, it’s easy, it’s reliable and it’s survived the onslaught of Covid and has come out shining to Aussies that have crossed the internal borders. For those wanting a risk-averse, successful, overseas incentive that offers easy flights, great temperatures year-round, stunning hotels, beach clubs, boutique dinner ideas and lots to do for a group, this is the go! You can’t go wrong with the Gold Coast.
A super-cool rooftop pool bar has sprung up this year and those grand hotels are still operating with welcoming staff to entice you with another cocktail while you lounge by the pool. This New Zealand go-to has just kept ticking along without too many setbacks and has come back stronger and faster than it was before!
